SoM

System on Modules (SoM) is a core module with processor, memory and I/O onboard ready to be attached to a baseboard for real world connections. Typically used for low cost designs as the processor/memory complex stage is complete and it is just a matter of bringing the I/O that is needed onto the baseboard.
